As Toledo Public School system families continue to seek assistance with rent and utility payments, Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio wants to remind applicants of some critical information:

Applicants of the TPS Family Stabilization Program cannot receive this assistance if they are already under the City of Toledo Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERA)

An application does not mean approval for assistance
The City of Toledo has agreed to partner with LSS for an additional $2 million in funding for rental and utility assistance for TPS families in 2023. The city is using federal money from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund the program.
Since the beginning of the program, more than 300 families have stabilized their housing in 2021 and 2022, with $1.8 million in rental assistance and an additional $465,000 in utility assistance.
