Feed Your Neighbor Now Being Directed by the LSS Emergency Food Pantry Services
The New Year brings with it new opportunities to serve our community at LSS! Formerly, the Toledo Area Ministries coordinated and directed the network of emergency food pantries. Recently the President of the TAM Board of Trustees commended the volunteers who serve at the pantries, "We are grateful for the many dedicated men and women who have volunteered their time over the years to TAM and the many gifted staff members who faithfully served thousands of citizens in the Toledo area with warmth and compassion.
We are pleased that the Feed Your Neighbor Program will continue to exist, and Lutheran Social Services will provide their organizational support to our dedicated food bank workers. We hope you will support their efforts and continue to show your concern and support for people in our community who need to experience the gracious love of God." Rev. Dr. Tom Schwartz, President, Toledo Area Ministries Board of Trustees.
The collaboration is just beginning for LSS and the Feed Your Neighbor pantries, but we are excited to have the opportunity to work with the Feed Your Neighbor partners. Joyce Willier is coordinating the pantries and will be working with the site managers and volunteers to deliver the highest quality of care and support.
