LSS Happy Family

Michael is a young man who lost a job and has had difficulty finding enough work to pay the bills. His wife was very pregnant with their second child, so was unable to assist with finding income. The family was evicted from their apartment and, while in the shelter, their child was born. Michael has found part-time work that will shortly lead to full-time, permanent employment.

LSS has been assisting the family with locating affordable housing that is convenient to shopping, bus lines, and other young families for socialization and support. LSS will assist with the down-payment and rent for the few months it will take Michael and his family to get back on their feet.

When Michael and his wife came into the LSS offices with their landlord for the lease signing, Michael looked around him at the LSS offices.  “You know,” he said, “It’s like a full circle. I was adopted through this Agency.”
