Lutheran Ministries of Mercy Annual Meeting Update

The three agencies of the Lutheran Ministries of Mercy converged on the Hilton Garden Inn at Levis Commons, Perrysburg, once again for the 2017 Annual Meeting. With the theme “Free in Christ, Light of the World!”, Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio, Luther Home of Mercy, and Filling Homes welcomed LMM Board Members, clergy and delegates from our supporting congregations, volunteers, donors and many friends of our ministries for an evening of looking back and looking forward.

Lutheran Ministries of Mercy Annual Meeting

The Lutheran Ministries of Mercy Annual Meeting, “Free in Christ, Light of the World”, will be held on March 13, 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg.  Registration begins at 5:30 PM with the dinner at 6:00 PM.  The tickets cost $25. 

The Keynote Speaker will be Bishop Daniel G. Beaudoin from the Northwestern Ohio Synod-ELCA.

International Human Trafficking & Social Justice Conference

The Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition at the University of Toledo Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute hosted the 13th Annual International Human Trafficking & Social Justice Conference on September 22 – 23, 2016.

Lucy Wayton, Vice-President of LSS of NW Ohio, Lucas County Coalition member, attended and presented at one of the sessions at this conference.

The Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition awarded the Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio with the Community Cares Award.

This award recognized the Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio for helping the Lucas County Human Trafficking Coalition by serving as a fiduciary agency and providing office space.
