#GivingTuesday will change lives at Scott High School through the Community Hub collaboration of agencies to support student success and strong families in the community.
Our God rules over hills, valleys and plains. Up in Minnesota, congregations sing of valleys so thick with corn that they laugh and sing. Every year, Pioneer Valley folks in Western Massachusetts celebrate “Giving Valley Days.” The same thing happens in the Roanoke Valley of Virginia; and in the Silicon Valley of Santa Clara and San Francisco.
The LSS Toledo Office Building reflects the same image of all of our offices in other regions where we serve throughout Northwest Ohio. We strive to be an exemplary agency of behavioral health and human care and safe, secure facilities where we can welcome and can provide the best evidence based services for our clients.
By the time you read this the election will be over and we will have elected a new President. This campaign for president has been the most negative of any that I can remember. And I fear that no matter who wins the election, our country will remain very divided. It will take many people working together to bring about healing and restore hope in the future of our country.
“Hope” is a word that we use often without really thinking about the depth of its meaning. For example, “I hope it does not rain for the Thanksgiving parade.” A deeper meaning is “I hope they find a cure for cancer soon.”
Purses, handbags and awesome munchies with desserts were presented to everyone who entered the Advent Lutheran Center. Some were curious about the changes made by Lutheran Ministries of Mercy and others were women looking for just the right gift for themselves or others on their holiday list.
