Recovery from Drug and Alcohol Addiction
Break the chains of oppression and the yoke of injustice, and let the oppressed go free… -Isaiah 58:6
At LSSNWO, people have found hope – that they can emerge from the chaos of addictive lifestyles and build a life free of destructive behaviors. This is not easy. It requires change.
People who fall victim to alcoholism and drug abuse find themselves caught in a destructive cycle that seems to take on a life of its own, determined to block every effort to overcome. Desiring to stop, they think they can when something happens that takes them back. People around them, loved ones see and experience hurt, they try to help and try again. “Why don’t they just quit? Why can’t it stop?” The cost is relentless, demanding sacrifice of resources, property, relationships. Love and families are tested and sometimes lost, along with faith and trust.
Our scriptures speak to people in bondage and despair. They understand the importance of breaking the chains of oppression; and setting free those who are oppressed. At LSSNWO, we aspire to walk with God’s People through valley shadows – to find again the light of hope that no darkness can overcome.
